SCHOLARSHIP AWARD CRITERIA
- The applicant must be a graduating senior attending a high school in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
- The applicant must be a resident of Prince George’s county, Maryland.
- The applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0, and submit an official high school transcript with appropriate endorsement and/or signatures.
- The applicant must have an acceptance letter from the Historically Black College or Univeristy (HBCU) or intent.
- The applicant must submit a completed scholarship application with a parent’s or guardian’s signature.
- The applicant must complete the essay requirement.
- The applicant must have two letters of recommendation from a teacher, administrator, school counselor, or community representative (no family members).
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RECIPIENT
- The Scholarship recipient will recieve a check in the minimum amount of $500.00 made payable to the HBCU they will be attending.
- The Scholarship recipient will be selected and notified by May 15 of each year.
- The recipient must enroll as a full-time student at a four-year HBCU and submit proof of enrollment letter to secure the award.
