On November 6, 2021, The Gary C. Clark HBCU Educational Excellence Scholarship Foundation was established by the family of Gary C. Clark. It was established because of his avid desire to see high school graduates in Prince George’s County, Maryland pursue and obtain a college degree. As a lifelong Prince Georgian, he wanted to help the young people in this county soar and achieve the better things in life by increasing their education.

As a graduate of Virginia State Univeristy and having had a successful professional career, Gary was able to recognize that education is the great equalizer that allowed him to accomplish the goals he set for his life.
